Archiving a database

We currently have a database of about 2,213mb, what is the best way to
archive the data?

Gavin...Use the SQL Server "maintenance plan" to schedule backup (
Expand "Management" -> Right click on "Database
Maintenance Plan" -> click "New Maintenance Plan".
(or)
Right click on the database name -> All Tasks -> Backup
database.
